Develop Your Customized Motivational Toolkit
Life, especially while you are work, can be a challenge. Deadlines, obstacles, the pettiness of suppliers and debtors, competition everything seems to creep up out of nowhere and disrupt the workflow. Sometimes, due to the work pressure, you want it chuck it all up and close down you outfit. But hang on; don’t let that happen, because in a business you must always be ready for a challenge. Instead of giving up, offer a stiff fight to whatever is messing you up and you can offer a stiff fight only if you are motivated. And one of the easiest ways of motivating yourself would be to develop your very own customized motivational toolkit.
So, what exactly is a customized motivational toolkit that can help you ward off stress and fight anxiety? Here’s the answer: A customized motivational toolkit is a collection of inspirational books, training manuals, audio files, videos, pictures or any web literature you collect and keep to help you in difficult times. This motivational collection can be packed on to your hard drive as a soft copy or it can be in the form of physical items stored in a bag or a toolkit box.
Inspirational audio media has been known to create a motivated and positive feeling amongst its listeners. In fact, audio files are very easy to locate, as there are a whole lot of websites selling a variety of motivational audio files or giving them away for free. Load this audio media on your iPod or Walkman and listen to it while on a walk the walk will strengthen your heart muscles, while the audio files will strengthen your mind.
Another source of motivational material can be the congratulatory emails you have received from your clients complementing you on a job well done. If you have been diligent enough to save these, then you must take out some time and go through them when you’re in distress they act as a moral booster and pep you up enough to carry on with your work. Apart from these emails, if you have already have signed up for a motivational course, you would have received quite a few inspirational emails that describe how others got through their times of trouble. Read these on your “down” days and they will get your mood all pumped up.
Pictures that motivate can inspire you too. A sportsman accomplishing a seemingly impossible feat, a leader delivering a memorable speech, graduation day pictures or pictures of days when you or someone you are proud of, won an award are examples of motivational pictures you must store on your hard drive and look at when you are feeling down.
If you have children, then a mere look at their photograph on your desk or your computer can uplift your soul. If your children have created something for you, then gazing and remembering at that symbol of affection can be a great mood-lifter too.
Then there are so many inspirational and motivational quotes you can freely access on the Internet. Many of them are witty and many are serious whatever their nature, they do at least try to give you that psychological push you’re looking for. Remember, when you read about how others overcame their problems and went on to inspire others, this feeling then stokes your inner fires and gets you all motivated.
